Our Sustainability Initiatives
Composting Implementation :
Since Y, we have actively implemented composting practices.
Styrofoam Ban and Biodegradable Packaging :
We’ve enforced a company-wide ban on Styrofoam packaging since Y. Instead, we now use biodegradable packaging for take-away meals and provide straws made from sustainable materials.
Waste Management Plan :
Our waste management plan involves separating kitchen food waste. This waste is either used as feed for farm animals or materials for compost bins. Additionally, we utilize farm-produced waste such as cocoa bean shells, pig and poultry manure to create compost suitable for fertilizer. Cocoa pods and fallen trees are also used as organic material for our fields.
Recycling and Upcycling Policy :
Our recycling and upcycling policy ensures that plastic bottles are repurposed. They’re used for potting plants in the greenhouse and incorporated into floral arrangements. Additionally, we redesign materials like car and motorcycle tires into furniture, bins, fencing, and construction materials.
Value Creation from Locally Grown Fruits :
We’ve found innovative ways to create value from locally grown fruits. This includes producing jams, jellies, and condiments.
High-Quality Cocoa Bean Production :
Through conventional and sun drying methods, we consistently produce high-quality cocoa beans for processing into chocolate.
Water Management :
We abstract water from the natural river for irrigation purposes. Rainwater harvested from roofs is also used, and gravity flow ensures efficient water distribution for farming and cleaning supplies.
